Help Wanted Now – Mobility Counselors

Introduction by Smith Young “:)”

Seeking mobility counselors to either work directly for HUD or a surrogate; Republicans need not apply, Socialist Bernie Sanders supporters are especially encouraged.  As a counselor you will be responsible for primarily interviewing black and hispanic urban indigents currently receiving section 8 housing, but we are also seeking counselors sympathetic to Muslims.  Some sales experience will be useful for encouraging qualified applicants to accept Super-Sized vouchers and move to affluent neighborhoods.  White section 8 applicants will not qualify due to the AFFH rule  for racial balancing (misnamed affordable housing when it’s all about race and ethnic origin), this position is all about relocating racial minorities.   In addition to sales, Security guard or TSA experience shaking people down is useful for explaining to applicants who don’t want to move, or who are white, that their section 8 voucher subsidy will be reduced.

As a counselor you will be rated on your ability to assess, screen, and judge the character of current section 8 recipients and determine the difference they will make and how effective they will be to humble the affluent white neighborhoods.  These new Super-Sized voucher holders are the pioneers and  trail blazers for changing the neighborhoods to make people like them more comfortable to follow into the soon to be not so affluent and white neighborhoods.  People who pass the screening need not be very intelligent, but informed about income inequality and motivated to spread the wealth.

Obama’s “Mobility Counselors” Tasked With Forcing the Poor to “Relocate” Against Their Will
By Bethany Blankley June 1, 2016

Obama is hoping to dumb-down suburbs by intentionally lowering their real estate and housing values by forcing low-income tenants to move out of their existing homes in cities. If low-income people choose not to participate, they will receive less subsidies than they’ve been receiving. It’s a Catch-22 for the poor.

This fall, the Department of Housing is reallocating funding for Section 8 housing in order to make suburbs “less white and less wealthy.” A new regulation, the “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing,” pressures all suburban counties already receiving federal grant money to change their zoning laws so that more low-income housing can be built.

Housing Secretary Julian Castro anticipates finalizing what is called the “Small-Area Fair Market Rents” (SAFMR) this October in the final days of Obama’s reign.

To organize and transport Section 8 tenants, Obama created government real estate agents called “mobility counselors.” They’ll be out in full force this fall, hoping to launch Section 8 tenants into more affluent neighborhoods, which by the way, most Americans could not afford.

The median household income for the entire United States, as of September, 2014, adjusting for inflation, is $51,939. (2013 was 8 percent lower than the median household income of 2007). Compare the U.S. median household income to the median household income to the more affluent suburb of Westchester County, New York.

According to the 2005-2009 U.S. Census American Community Survey, the median household income for Westchester County was $79,585. Westchseter’s income exceeds the median for New York State ($55,233) and New York City ($63,553).

Yet, Obama is intent on importing Section 8 tenants to above-the-median neighborhoods on a much larger scale– even after this very initiative has already proven to have caused increased crime in the affluent neighborhoods of Dallas, Texas.

The New York Post reports:

Castro is expected to finalize the new regulation, known as “Small-Area Fair Market Rents” (SAFMR), this October, in the last days of the Obama presidency. It will set voucher rent limits by ZIP code rather than metro area, the current formula, which makes payments relatively small. For example, the fair market rent for a one-bedroom in New York City is about $1,250, which wouldn’t cover rentals in Westchester County.

Obama’s plan requires no congressional approval. This is being administered through a bureaucratic agency run by unelected officials. And, the poor are being forced to move, or receive less money to stay in their homes. (Unless, of course they find employment and can pay to live in their current neighborhoods.)

This is not a voluntary moving process where someone finds a realtor and is looking for a place to live. Mobility counselors are a perfect example of communism in its clearest form.

Those already receiving subsidies that live in less expensive zip codes will receive double the amount they are currently receiving if they move to a location the mobility counselors determine for them. However, if they choose not to move– and to stay where they are– they will lose a substantial amount of their existing subsidies.

Ultimately, in order to stay dependent on subsidies, the poor have no choice but to be uprooted and put in different housing, not of their choice. Someone living in Brooklyn, New York, would be required to move to Westchester, New York. But, even though their subsidies may double, they still won’t be able to afford living in their new neighborhood.

How is this fair to anyone?

Is forcing someone to move fair? Even, forcing them to move somewhere they don’t want to live?

Under this new regulation, Obama is hoping to move 350,000 Section 8 voucher holders– resettling them under the SAFMR program.

The Post reports, that under Obama, “the total number of voucher households has grown to more than 2.2 million.”
